FAQ

Does Nexlm hold my Naira?

No. Naira goes directly from the buyer's account to the seller's.

Who controls the escrow?

Each escrow account's own key is disabled when it's created. Only the Nexlm platform key can co-sign, and the only transactions it signs send the XLM to the buyer or back to the seller.

Can I see the escrow on the blockchain?

Yes. The trade room links to the lock, release and refund transactions on Stellar Expert.

What if the seller never releases after I paid?

The XLM stays locked in escrow — it can't be refunded to the seller automatically once you've marked the trade as paid. Share your receipt in the chat and contact support with the trade ID. An in-app dispute process, where an admin reviews evidence and settles the escrow, is planned for Phase 2.

Can I trade partially against a large order?

Not yet. A trade always takes the whole order. Partial fills are on the roadmap.

Can I use my own Stellar wallet?

Not yet. Connecting an external wallet is planned.

Is there a mobile app?

The web app works in mobile browsers. A native app is planned for Phase 3.

Why is there a 2 XLM reserve per trade?

Stellar requires every account, including escrow accounts, to hold a minimum balance. See Balances explained.

How is the price decided?

By traders. Nexlm doesn't set rates.

Nexlm is a peer-to-peer facilitator and never holds customer Naira.
