Each trade has a private chat between the buyer and seller.
Sending messages
- Messages up to 2,000 characters
- Enter sends, Shift + Enter adds a new line
- A "typing…" indicator shows when the other party is writing
Attaching payment proof
Tap the image icon to attach a receipt.

Files are checked by their actual content, not just their extension.
System messages
Nexlm posts messages in the chat when escrow is locked, the buyer marks the trade as paid, and when XLM is released or refunded.
How long chat stays open
You can keep chatting for 24 hours after a trade completes or is cancelled. After that the chat becomes read-only, but the history is kept.

Nexlm staff will never ask for your password or OTP in chat. Keep all trade communication here — conversations on other apps can't be reviewed.
